On behalf of the School of Veterinary Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, we are honored to invite you to the 14th ESPHM in Thessaloniki which will be held from 31st May to 2nd June 2023.
ESPHM organizers are very pleased and extremely proud to have improved their green attitude as regards the organization of the annual Symposium, with several actions aiming to reduce our environmental impact.
First of all, printed matters will be significantly reduced. E-poster stations have been confirmed to be the best sustainable way to display participants’ scientific works during the Symposium.
Second, alternative means of transportation, such as shuttle buses, taxi-sharing, bicycles and, why not… pleasant walks along the seaside, will be encouraged to support delegates’ mobility during the event.
The collaboration of companies and participants will be crucial to reach a lower impact on the destination and, on a larger scale, the whole planet. There are indeed so many ways and approaches to reach this common goal!
As a matter of fact, some of the sponsoring opportunities have been converted into green options, e.g. sponsored newsletters instead of printed leaflets, conference kit produced with eco-friendly certified materials, preferably by local suppliers, sustainable re-usable bottles, and water dispensers at the congress venue.
Furthermore, participants will have the chance to decide whether to pick up their congress kit and will be invited to return bags and plastic badge holders after the event.
To preserve our planet should be definitely our common goal. We all share the responsibility to do our best to increasingly adopt a much greener approach in our everyday life.
Warm and generous, Thessaloniki is at the same time historic and avant-garde: the second largest city in Greece is a mosaic of cultures, a safe haven for creative people and the perfect spot for international business and academic meetings.
